Ashley is a Colorado native that had eight dogs growing up. She learned early on the value of our relationships
with animals as well as how to build those relationships. As an adult she first adopted a husky, Autumn, who
triggered the deep dive into working with animals. Growing up with labs was very different from having a husky,
and seeing that little dog grow and process the world and find themselves became a huge passion. Since
adopting Autumn she has also owned a bully and recently adopted a Belgian malinois puppy, Imp, who is
presently roughly 8 months old.
Having the opportunity to build the relationships with her own dogs has created a whole new passion for
helping others foster the relationships they have with their dogs. Ashley made a point to work in various parts
of the industry starting out in doggy daycare, doing some training, doing some veterinary work, and then
coming back to training with Sit Happens with the goal in mind of learning how to best provide for dogs and
their owners on multiple levels. As she builds her skills her goal is to eventually have her own location where
she can breed and train service dogs, and continues to do at home training with clients as well.
